Municipal Projects

Project Overview
Project Spotlight: Commercial Retail Utility & Infrastructure Restoration
Location: Major Regional Shopping Center
Scope: Critical Sanitary and Storm Sewer Infrastructure Replacement
This complex utility project required the surgical replacement of aging sanitary and storm water systems within a high-traffic commercial mall environment. Our team managed deep-excavation challenges and infrastructure upgrades while ensuring site safety and structural integrity for the surrounding pavement.
Key Implementation Features:
Sanitary System Upgrade:
Full removal of the existing sanitary manhole, replaced with a modern 48" reinforced structure featuring high-performance boot seals for a complete, watertight integration.
Storm Water Optimization:
* Reconfigured existing storm manholes by removing legacy riser sections and installing new cones, rims, and open-grate systems.
Adjusted rim elevations to ensure optimal surface drainage and seamless transition with the surrounding pavement.
Deep-Trench Utility Replacement: Executed a high-precision replacement of the 12" storm sewer main. This involved excavating to a depth of 12 feet to connect the primary building discharge into the 15" municipal main using SDR 26 heavy-duty piping.
Sub-Surface Stabilization:
To prevent future settling, all non-aggregate material was hauled off-site and replaced with fully compacted CA-6 structural stone backfill.
Pavement Restoration:
Managed the full demolition and high-standard restoration of the asphalt surface, including 4" of precision-laid and compacted asphalt to match the existing mall thoroughfare.
